While Croydon Council has ruled out an incinerator being built within the boundaries of the London Borough of Croydon, this will not be much good to our health if the incinerator is built just across the border on Beddington Lane, from where the prevailing westerlies can send the emission in our director.

To the House of Commons.
The Petition of the people of Croydon declares that the construction of an incinerator on Beddington Lane, Sutton, would not be in Croydon’s interests.
The Petitioners therefore request that the House of Commons urges the Government to take steps to investigate alternative sites for the incinerator or alternative means of disposing of waste in an environmentally friendly manner.
