The Government plans to tranfer public sector jobs away from the South East. I am keen to see that Croydon is not damaged by this policy.
I want as many jobs as possible to remain in the town, but was please to secure the Chancellor's concession that "compensatory measures" would be put in place if jobs are transferred.

To the House of Commons.
The Petition of the people of Croydon declares that the Croydon economy depends on public sector employment.
The Petitioners therefore request that the House of Commons urges the Government to ensure that public sector positions are not transferred away from Croydon.
And the petitions remain, etc,
