... in the fight against climate change
How many MPs does it take to plant a tree, you ask? After what can best be described as a period of much trial and not a little error we have the answer: 'at least two'.
As someone who signed up to be a plot holder in the Greenpeace airplot at Heathrow, I was delighted to get stuck in and join Malcolm Wicks MP and Greenpeace to plant a tree. After all the huffing and puffing from your less than athletic Member of Parliament the CO2 capturing properties of said tree will be useful.
In the interests of accurate reporting, I should say that the accompanying picture is not representative of the hard labour involved, which was, perhaps fittingly, primarily shouldered by Mr Wicks.
