10 December 2009
Over £300,000 of investment has been made by the Co-op in their New Addington branch on Central Parade to improve the frontage and layout of the shop. Having previously urged the Co-op to make such a commitment to the New Addington community, I was pleased to be on hand as the ribbon was cut to officially open the regenerated supermarket, keeping good company with Wolsey School pupils, local shoppers and Co-operative movement members.
I am really pleased that the Co-op reacted to my concerns raised on behalf of New Addington. The store is now an excellent place to shop.
What a pleasure to see Central Parade thriving: we don’t have to wait for Tesco to get things moving in New Addington.
