Andrew Calls for Socca Cheeta to be Re-opened in Wesley's Name

03 May 2010

Our local Independent candidate for the General Election, Andrew Pelling, has called for the re-opening of the Socca Cheeta youth club in Portland Road, South Norwood after joining the march organised to grieve for Wesley Younger Solem Sterling, the 16 year old Croydon College student who lost his life after being stabbed at Croydon Arena.
Andrew has called for the new re-opened club to be named after Wesley.

Andrew says ” The consistent call at the rally was for supervised youth provision in the community in South Norwood. This demand should be respected along with the desire of protestors for Croydon people to disarm themselves of knives.”
